At the core of every human being is the desire for security, significance and strength. Dr. Tim Kimmel states, “All children are born with a need to love and be loved, a need to live lives that have meaning, and a need to believe that tomorrow is worth getting up for.” The truth of this statement is revealed when you look into the eyes of an abandoned child living in an orphanage. At first glance you will see hunger, disease, and fatigue but if you hold their gaze for a little longer you will discover a child being buried alive. You don’t have to speak her language to understand what she is trying to tell you. She is shouting, “Do you see me? I’m alive! Will you help me?”

Embraced By Hope sees these children and their God given potential. While we will strive to assist the orphanages to better meet their basic physical needs of food, clothing and shelter we are also concerned about their future. Embraced By Hope wants to present each child with the gift of love, purpose and hope. Each of these gifts is as vital as the food they eat, the clothes they wear and the bed they will sleep in tonight. Love, Purpose and Hope are the keys that will unlock their future.
